Terms of Use

These Terms of Use describe the current rules for accessing and using CareerBoard. This page is a working public-facing draft and should still be reviewed against the final business, billing, and jurisdiction setup before wider release.

Last updated: May 9, 2026

Acceptance and Scope

By accessing or using CareerBoard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and any additional policies, notices, or product-specific rules that may be made available within the service.

These terms apply to the CareerBoard landing site, the product workspace, and related features such as resume tailoring, cover letter generation, interview preparation, interview review, vacancy evaluation, application tracking, collaboration features, and browser-based capture workflows.

Service Operator and Contact

CareerBoard is currently operated by Ilia Rychagov as an individual operator based in Armenia, and not through a separate legal entity at this time. If you have questions about these terms or need to report an issue, you may contact careerboard@leverton.dev.

If the operating entity, contact details, or legal structure of the service change, these terms may be updated to reflect that change.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the service. By using CareerBoard, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these terms and that you are not prohibited from using the service under applicable law.

Accounts and Authentication

Some parts of CareerBoard require an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, controlling access to your login methods, and all activity that occurs under your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

At the time of writing, account access may be provided through supported third-party sign-in providers such as Google, LinkedIn, and GitHub. Your use of those providers is also subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

What the Service Does

CareerBoard is designed to support practical job-search workflows. Depending on the features enabled for your account, the service may help you organize applications, tailor resumes, generate or refine cover letters, evaluate job opportunities, prepare for interviews, review interview materials, store files and notes, and coordinate related work in one workspace.

You agree to use the service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not disrupt, overload, probe, reverse engineer, or otherwise interfere with the platform, its infrastructure, or other users.

Beta Status and AI Features

CareerBoard may still be in beta or evolving release stages. Features may change, behave unexpectedly, contain bugs, return incomplete results, or be temporarily unavailable while the product is improved.

Certain features rely on artificial intelligence, automation, transcription, scraping, or other third-party processing. AI-generated or automated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, outdated, or unsuitable for your specific situation. You are responsible for reviewing and validating all generated content before relying on it.

CareerBoard is not a law firm, recruiting agency, immigration adviser, financial adviser, or guaranteed career service. It does not guarantee interviews, job offers, employment outcomes, or any particular hiring result.

User Content

You may upload or submit resumes, job descriptions, cover letters, notes, profile data, documents, images, interview recordings, transcripts, and other materials in connection with your use of the service. You retain your rights in your content, subject to the limited license described below.

You represent that you have all rights, permissions, and lawful bases needed to upload, store, process, and use that content through CareerBoard. This includes obtaining any necessary employer, interviewer, customer, collaborator, or third-party consent.

By submitting content, you grant CareerBoard a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, process, transform, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the service features you use.

Interview Recordings and Sensitive Material

If you upload interview recordings, transcripts, screening answers, internal documents, or similar sensitive material, you are solely responsible for making sure that you are legally permitted to record, disclose, upload, and process that material.

Do not upload confidential information, trade secrets, personal data belonging to others, or materials restricted by contract, non-disclosure obligations, or employer policy unless you clearly have the right to do so. CareerBoard may remove content or restrict access if it reasonably suspects misuse, infringement, privacy violations, or unlawful activity.

Acceptable Use

You may not use CareerBoard to:

  • upload content you do not have the right to use or disclose;
  • violate confidentiality obligations, NDAs, or privacy rights;
  • create false, misleading, or fraudulent job application materials;
  • fabricate degrees, certifications, employment history, or professional experience;
  • misrepresent AI-generated work as verified fact without review;
  • probe, scrape, attack, disrupt, or bypass the service or its API protections;
  • attempt to avoid payment, exploit pricing logic, or abuse credits or promotions;
  • upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to damage systems or data;
  • use the service for unlawful, deceptive, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.

Payments, Balance, and Pricing

CareerBoard may offer paid features on a usage-based basis. Users may be able to purchase service balance through supported payment methods, including credit card and, where available, cryptocurrency payments. Balance is credited only after a transaction is successfully completed.

CareerBoard may use third-party payment processors to accept and settle payments. At the time of writing, Lemon Squeezy is expected to be the primary card payment processor. Your payment transaction may also be subject to the processor's own terms, policies, fraud checks, and compliance requirements.

Paid balance may be used for AI-powered actions, transcription, scraping, generation, analysis, or other external or metered operations made available through the service. Pricing may vary by feature, provider cost, user tier, promotions, or other published account conditions.

Your balance is a limited service credit for using CareerBoard. It is not a bank account, stored-value account, or deposit product, cannot be transferred to another user, and cannot be redeemed for cash except where required by law. If your account balance becomes negative, you may need to restore it before continuing to use paid features.

Prices may change from time to time. Network fees, blockchain fees, card processing fees, currency conversion charges, or similar third-party payment costs may apply depending on the payment method you choose. Those third-party fees are your responsibility and may be non-refundable.

Refunds, Billing Errors, and Chargebacks

Except where required by law, payments for digital, usage-based services are non-refundable, and unused remaining balance is not redeemable for cash and will not be refunded on demand.

If you believe that you sent a payment by mistake, you must contact CareerBoard at careerboard@leverton.dev within 48 hours of the transaction. CareerBoard may, in its discretion, review the circumstances and reverse or adjust the payment if the report is timely and the situation reasonably supports it. A reversal or balance adjustment is not guaranteed.

Chargebacks, reversed payments, or payment disputes may lead to account restrictions, suspension of paid features, negative balance adjustments, loss of promotional pricing, or tier recalculation where appropriate.

Tiers, Discounts, and Promotions

CareerBoard may apply pricing tiers, discounts, or promotional rules automatically based on factors such as cumulative spend, account history, or other published criteria. A tier is not a subscription and does not create a vested right to any permanent discount, package, or price level.

Tier logic, discount rules, qualification thresholds, and promotional offers may change, end, or be revoked at any time, including where refunds, abuse, chargebacks, or policy violations affect account status.

Third-Party Services

CareerBoard depends on third-party services and infrastructure, which may include AI providers, cloud hosting, payment processors, storage services, analytics tools, email providers, browser platform providers, DNS and content delivery services, and scraping or job-board related providers.

CareerBoard is not responsible for outages, errors, delays, policy changes, or security incidents caused by third-party providers. Your use of certain functionality may also be subject to the separate terms or policies of those providers.

Availability, Changes, and Support

The service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, technical issues, provider failures, security incidents, product updates, capacity limits, or other reasons. CareerBoard does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, flawless operation, or compatibility with every workflow, browser, device, or employer system.

CareerBoard may add, remove, modify, or discontinue features, integrations, workflows, limits, or pricing at any time. Reasonable efforts may be made to preserve continuity, but not all legacy behavior must be maintained indefinitely.

Intellectual Property

CareerBoard and its related design, branding, software, interfaces, documentation, and site content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these terms, you may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile, create derivative works from, or otherwise exploit the service or any part of it.

These terms do not grant you ownership of the CareerBoard platform itself. They only grant you a limited, revocable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.

Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion

CareerBoard may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the service if it reasonably believes that you have violated these terms, engaged in abuse or fraud, submitted unlawful content, attempted to attack or manipulate the system, failed to pay amounts due, or created risk for the service, its providers, or third parties.

You may stop using the service at any time. If you want to request deletion of your account, contact careerboard@leverton.dev. CareerBoard may retain certain information for legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, internal recordkeeping, or enforcement of these terms, as permitted by applicable law.

Disclaimers of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerBoard is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.

This includes, without limitation, no warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, accurate, complete, fit for a particular purpose, or successful in any hiring, interviewing, recruiting, immigration, or professional context.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CareerBoard and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, opportunities, data, goodwill, employment outcomes, interviews, offers, or business relationships arising out of or related to your use of the service.

You remain solely responsible for how you use generated output, whether you submit materials to an employer, and how you represent your qualifications, experience, and application materials.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of CareerBoard for all claims arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to CareerBoard during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of Armenia, without regard to conflict of law principles. If a dispute arises out of or relates to CareerBoard or these terms, the parties will first try to resolve it through good-faith communication.

If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be brought before the competent courts of Armenia, unless a different forum is required by applicable law.

Changes to These Terms

CareerBoard may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect product changes, operational changes, legal requirements, security needs, or business decisions. The updated version will become effective when posted on this page unless a different effective date is stated.

Your continued use of the service after updated terms become effective means that you accept the revised terms. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you should stop using the service.
